Himachal CM Sukhu to review high court judgment on Chief Parliamentary Secretaries appointments
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated that he would thoroughly review the judgment of the Himachal High Court, which set aside the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS), before making any decisions. “I shall go through the judgement and discuss it with my Cabinet college before taking any decision,” he said. The CM made this statement during a visit to Dharamsala, where he attended a private function and reviewed various developmental projects in the Kangra region.
The projects under review included the expansion of the Gaggal airport, upgradation of Daghwar milk plant, and the proposed zoological park in the Dehra region. When questioned about the allegations of harassment against Baddi SP, IIma Afroz, by a local Congress MLA, the CM responded that she had proceeded on leave and asked for proof to support the harassment claims.
Regarding the delayed construction of the north campus of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, the CM assured that the matter would be resolved soon. He also addressed allegations from the opposition (BJP) that his wife’s Assembly constituency, Dehra, was receiving preferential treatment, saying it was the opposition’s role to make allegations.
