Hill’ffair 2024 commences at NIT with talent show
The annual cultural and talent event of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hill’ffair 2024 themed “Udbhav: Dawn of the Ages,” commenced with a day filled with vibrancy and excitement on the premises here today.
NIT Director Professor Hiralal Murlidhar Suryawanshi inaugurated the event.
Registrar Dr Archana Santosh Nanoty, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Ashok Kumar, Associate Dean (Student Activities) Dr Pradeep Singh and Faculty in-charge (Cultural Activities) Dr. Rajeev Kumar were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
Dr Pradeep Singh said the event began with a captivating performance by the Music Club while a skit by the Drama Club ‘Pravah’ stole the show with its unique shadow act.
Singh said the Rhythmeecz Classical followed by traditional dance performances, along with an energetic performance by the bhangra crew was enjoyed by one and all.
The Associate Dean said in the second phase, there was a dance performance by Rhythmeecz, a devotional fusion by Team Dravida and a captivating Himachali Nati dance paying homage to the state's cultural roots.
The Director said through such cultural activities, students also showcase their talent in other fields apart from academics.
