The HP High Court today decided to resume its functioning with some restrictions till further orders. The high court had suspended functioning on March 24.

Now as per the latest notification issued by Registrar General, Virender Singh, the high court has decided to resume its functioning partially.

As per this notification, only urgent matters can be filed through e-mail of the High Court i.e hicourt-hp@nic.in.

It was further mentioned in the notification that neither the litigants nor the advocates are required to come to the court for filing of such cases. The filing of the hard copy as well as payment of court fee/filing of affidavits would be deferred for the time being.

Subordinate courts to hear only urgent matters

The Himachal High Court today decided to resume the functioning of subordinate courts only for urgent matters. The functioning of subordinate courts was suspended on March 24.

As per the notification issued by Registrar General Virender Singh, the subordinate courts will entertain only urgent matters filed through e-mails.

The District and Sessions Judges as well as Senior Civil Judges or Chief Judicial Magistrates will decide the urgency of the matter.
