Hamirpur student bags 3 yoga golds in 10 days
Yashoverdhan Attri, a student of Him Academy Public School here, has bagged three gold medals in separate state and district level events, and was honoured by the school management on his arrival to the school.
Yashoverdhan won a gold medal at the state-level yoga championship, organised by the State Yoga Association at Shimla, in the under-18 category. He also stood first in the under-19 state-level yoga championship held at Sundarnagar in Mandi district.
He also emerged victorious in the state-level 49th Sub Junior Yoga Championship, organised by Yoga Federation of India at Una.
These championships were organised on November 4, October 24 and October 27 respectively.
Narender Attri, Yashoverdhan’’s father, said his son had been practicing yoga from the age of five, and had won a number of gold, silver and bronze medals in district and state championships.
He was expecting his son to win medals at national level too, Narender added.
The management of HAPS also honoured Alina and Anaya Shree for wining gold medals at the state schools tournaments in dancing and solo classical singing held at Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district recently.
Yashoverdhan was awarded a cash prize of Rs 21,000 by the school management.
