Guarantee model of Congress has completely failed: BJP

Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur today said the guarantee model of the Congress has failed across the country as all Congress-ruled states are suffering due to these impractical promises made to grab power.

Talking to the media here today, Thakur said the Congress gave false guarantees because of which the government has failed to perform and all development works have been adversely impacted. The CM’s claims that five guarantees made by the Congress have been fulfilled is being mocked at as everyone knows that none of these promises have been honoured even two years after the formation of government.

He said the Congress had promised that all women between 18 and 60 years will be given Rs 1,500 per month but the reality is that barely 25,000 women have been covered even though there are 22 lakh women in Himachal, who are entitled to this financial assistance.

Under corpus fund for creating self-employment, not even a single youth has got money. “The guarantee of Rs 100 per kg buffalo milk and Rs 80 per kg cow milk has also not been fulfilled. Only marginal increase in the prices of milk has been honoured,” he said.

Thakur said that Congress unit in Karnataka is plagued by infighting and the state government is struggling to fulfil the guarantees made before the Assembly elections. “The Congress is making false promises to people to come to power which has been proven both in Himachal and Karnataka,” he said.
