Govt to submit 2-yr performance report card at Bilaspur function
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said that the state government would present its two-year report card and highlight the positive changes in society due to its policies and programmes.
He held a meeting with senior officials to discuss the preparations for the programme to be held at Bilaspur to mark two years of the Congress regime.
He said that the state government had introduced reforms in various departments that had improved public services, enhanced transparency and promoted digitisation. “The state government will commemorate the completion of two years in office with a grand function at Bilaspur on December 11,” he added.
Sukhu said that apart from ministers, Congress MLAs, chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of boards and corporations, leaders, who had contested the Assembly elections, and party office-bearers would attend the event. He added that the beneficiaries of various government schemes would also be invited to attend the rally.
The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of meticulous planning and to ensure smooth traffic arrangements to minimise inconvenience to the public. Besides, he directed the district administration officials to ensure adequate parking facilities, cleanliness and proper toilet arrangements during the event.
Sukhu instructed the Information and Public Relations Department to produce a documentary highlighting the achievements of the government in the past two years.
