Govt to e-connect all important temples of Himachal Pradesh, says Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri

The state government has taken an important initiative to e-connect major temples of the state. This will enable the devotees to have darshan from their homes. This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri after offering prayers at Jawalamukhi temple yesterday. His daughter Aastha Agnihotri also accompanied the Deputy CM.
Agnihotri said the government had started a pilot scheme to provide online booking facility for havan, bhandara and jagran ceremonies in temples and shaktipeeths of the state. Through this digital platform, devotees can also connect with temple priests. To make the experience of pilgrims more pleasant, the government is also working on the beautification and development of infrastructure of major temples.
Special emphasis is also being laid on providing better facilities for devotees. The pilgrimage places of the state are the centres of tourism and with this view, a plan is being prepared to develop the temples so that along with pilgrimage, local people can also get employment opportunities, he said.
Agnihotri said that Jawalaji temple was a major Shaktipeeth of Himachal and it would be developed in a planned manner so that devotees do not face any kind of problem. The Deputy CM said the government was also taking effective steps for the preservation of art and folk culture. In this regard, meaningful initiatives have been taken to get recognition for the various arts of Himachal across the country.
