Govt staff issued notices over petty incidents: Ex-CM
Former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said it was lamentable that employees were served show-cause notices “even if a bus passenger plays a video against a senior Congress leader”.
He said that instead of addressing shortcomings in Himachal Pradesh Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses, the government was focusing on punishing employees over petty incidents.
“Decisions related to the HRTC are making headlines in newspapers every day. Sometimes, the wheels of moving buses come out, at times a bus breaks down as soon as it leaves the station or passengers can be seen pushing a bus. Such problems are not a priority with the government and governance has collapsed, leaving common people to suffer,” said Thakur at Kuthar village near Kasauli.
He said the image of the state was getting tarnished due to the actions of the government. “Every day some shameful incident takes place in the state. There are many problems that need to be resolved but public interest in not the government’s priority. But if a samosa does not reach the Chief Minister, a CID probe is initiated,” he added.
