What our readers say: Out-of-order golf cart at Rashtrapati Niwas
RASHTRAPATI Niwas, the official residence of the President Of India at Chharabra, Shimla, opened its doors to the public in April 2023. Since then, people from all walks of life come to have a glimpse of this 174-year-old building. It is almost 1-km from the CISF security post. Unfortunately, the only golf cart deployed for ferrying people to and from the building has been out of service for some time, greatly inconveniencing the elderly. It would be appreciated if authorities get it repaired at the earliest, and also arrange for a standby facility. Jawahar Kaul, New Shimla
Speeding on Chhota Shimla-Kasumpti road
SPEEDING commuters is a common sight on the Chhota Shimla-Kasumpti road. If left unchecked, this could lead to a serious mishap. Rash drivers here put pedestrians at risk and should be discouraged from speeding. The police should keep an eye on such people.
Ankita, Shimla
