Girls get key posts in Rampur college student assn
The newly elected executive body of the CSCA (College Student Central Association) of Govind Ballabh Pant Government College, Rampur, took its oath of office yesterday.
Principal Pankaj Basotia was the chief guest at the event.
Of a team of 70 class and department representatives, only 11 male students were appointed, while the majority of the key positions, including CRs (class representatives), were allotted to female students. Basotia acknowledged this positive shift, stating that whether in the fields of research or innovation, women were leading the way. The college, which serves students from four districts, has seen a remarkable participation of students from rural backgrounds.
Basotia said it was heartening to see girls from rural, mountainous regions advancing in their studies.
The newly appointed CSCA executive, Vikas Thakur, expressed his commitment to safeguarding the interests of students, especially those from rural areas.
He assured the students that he would work in collaboration with the college administration to improve the education system and ensure student welfare.
