Get online prasad from Chintpurni shrine

Soon after Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated the Chintpurni temple ‘prasad’ home delivery facility via videoconferencing from Shimla on Monday, the Chintpurni Temple Trust received 224 orders by the evening.
Among all shrines in the state, the Chintpurni temple witnesses the highest footfall of devotees. However, in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, the portals of the shrine had been shut since March 17. The ban on the entry of devotees inside the shrine complex continues.
Three categories
- Prasad offering worth Rs1,101 will have dry fruits, ‘pinni’, a sweet savory made in cow butter, besides a ‘chunri’ and ‘suhagi’.
- For offerings worth Rs601 or Rs201, there will be dry fruits in different quantities and a ‘chunri’
Hygienically packed
- To preserve the sanctity of the ‘prasad’, it will be packed in a box and sent by speed post to devotees.
- There is no cash on delivery option. Devotees can make payment in advance via https://www.matashrichintpurni.com/online-prasad.
However, all rituals, including ‘puja’, is being performed by priests daily. The devotees are able to see the live proceedings on YouTube.
The temple Trust, headed by Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar, had recently mooted the idea of starting the home delivery of ‘prasad’, a practice already being followed by major shrines across the nation.
The Una administration and the Postal Department worked on the plan, which was then sent to the State Department of Art, Language and Culture for approval. The Chief Minister launched the scheme for devotees today.
