Hooligans spoil the fun in snowy Manali

Manali received 10 cm of snow, which delighted the hoteliers and tourists.

As Solang valley and the north portal of the Atal Tunnel towards Lahaul side received considerable snowfall, the Kullu district administration stopped the movement of tourist vehicles.

Manali SDM Raman Gharsanghi said traffic movement had been halted in view of public safety.

“The state machinery has been pressed into service to clear the road for traffic movement and people have been asked to follow the directions of the administration strictly to avoid any untoward incident,” he said.

The tourists were seen throwing snow at each other at the Mall Road in Manali.

The tribal Lahaul and Spiti district too has received fresh snowfall, coming as a delight for farmers.

In Mandi district, high-altitude areas like Shikari Devi, Kamrunag and Prashar Lake area have received considerable snowfall, while the lower areas of the district have experienced rain.
