The Meteorological Department has flagged the risk of flashfloods over a few watersheds in Mandi, Sirmaur, Kangra, Kullu, Kinnaur and Shimla districts over the next 24 hours. Surface runoff and inundation are also likely to occur in low-lying areas over the next 24 hours. The department has also issued a yellow alert for heavy rain and a thunderstorm at isolated places for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the state received widespread light to heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours. Palampur received 130 mm of rainfall, followed by Kataula (110 mm), Baijnath and Jogindernagar (60 mm each) and Mandi and Una (40 mm each).

Meanwhile, 64 roads are obstructed for traffic following the precipitation. The highest number of 55 roads has been affected in Mandi district, followed by seven in Chamba. Also, the number of disrupted electricity distribution transformers has come down to 34. The worst affected is Kullu district where 33 transformers have been affected. Also, 44 water supply schemes have been damaged, including 22 in Bilaspur and 19 in Mandi.
