Dry tree a threat
A dry tree (photo) on the road leading to the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha is posing a safety hazard to commuters as it can fall down any time. This tree should be removed immediately. The tree’s dried branches can cause serious injuries if they fall on anyone. It’s essential that the tree be felled at the earliest. —Vinay, Shimla
Doctors go on mass leave, patients suffer
I took a family member for check-up to the government hospital, but was left disappointed as there was no doctor on duty due to their ongoing mass leave. We had to face a lot of inconvenience and had to leave without seeing a doctor. Pedestrians at risk in congested market
The construction work at the roadside on the already congested Chhota Shimla market has made it difficult for pedestrians to walk. There is always a chance of an injury or being hit by a vehicle. The authorities concerned must take stock of the situation. —Divya, Shimla
