Drone survey completed in 2,326 Mandi villages
In a significant advancement towards land ownership for rural residents, Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan stated that the drone survey under the SWAMITVA scheme had been successfully completed in 2,326 out of the 2,508 inhabited villages in Mandi district. The initiative aims to provide land rights to families residing in populated rural areas.
Giving further details, the Deputy Commissioner said the drone surveys were conducted in various regions, including Sadar Mandi, Baghsad, Aut, Pangana, Thachi, Chachyot, Padhar, Karsog, Balh, Baldwara, and Rewalsar. He highlighted that the survey in all other tehsils and sub-tehsils had been completed.
The SWAMITVA scheme is designed to confer ownership rights on residents. The DC emphasised that this initiative would empower families by securing their land rights.
He reviewed the status of various revenue matters, emphasising that delays in resolving these issues were unacceptable. He examined the progress on mutations, jamabandi, encroachments, boundary marking, and private land allocations, among other revenue-related tasks.
