Hindu outfit Dharam Sabha held a protest march today, condemning atrocities against Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh. The NGO made a fervent appeal to the Indian government to take immediate and decisive action to stop the ongoing persecution. They highlighted the alarming rise in violence, ethnic cleansing, and human rights violations following a regime change in Bangladesh.

Neeraj Handa, coordinator of Dharam Sabha, stated that targeted killings, assaults, forced conversions, sexual violence, and the destruction of Hindu temples and properties have been rampant. Hindu women and girls have reportedly been subjected to molestation, rape, and murder, while temples have been desecrated, and homes and businesses looted and burned.

Handa also condemned the systematic removal of Hindus from key government positions in Bangladesh, which he said aims to diminish their influence in the country’s administrative framework. Protesters accused local authorities of failing to protect minorities, with some allegedly complicit in the violence.

The NGO called on the Indian government to act swiftly to safeguard the lives and dignity of Hindus and other minorities. It urged the interim Bangladeshi government to halt these inhumane acts, ensure accountability, and protect vulnerable communities. The protest underscored the urgent need for intervention to prevent further escalation of violence and uphold the fundamental rights of persecuted minorities.
