DEIC gets kids with ailments treated
The District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) — a programme of the government to identify ailments in children of age group 0-6 and provided them free treatment — recently provided treatment to young children of the district. According to CMO Parveen Chaudhary, under the Health Department-sponsored Rashtriya Bal Swasthya scheme, children up to 18 years are screened for treatment.
A child of Tibra village of the Dhatwal sub tehsil, who was found to have an eye disorder, was treated at the medical college here successfully.
A child of Fagoti village in barsar subdivision and another of Jhagriyani village were detected with heart issues received treatment at the Dr Rajender Prasad Medical College and Hospital, Tanda, and IGMC, Shimla, respectively, the CMO said.
He added that a child with cleft palate was also treated successfully under the programme.
