DC takes stock of preparations for winter session of Assembly

Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa and officials of various departments today took stock of the preparations for the Winter Session on the Vidhan Sabha premises, Tapovan, in Dharamsala.
The four-day session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly will be held in Dharamsala from December 18 to 21.
The DC directed the officials of the Jal Shakti and Power Departments to take appropriate steps for better drinking water facility and maintenance of electricity before the commencement of the session so that there is no inconvenience of any kind.
Parking arrangements at various places from Zorawar Stadium to Vidhan Sabha premises were also reviewed.
Bairwa said the security arrangements will also be strengthened during the Vidhan Sabha session, for which a plan was being prepared by the Police Department.
He said passes will be issued by the police so that locals do not face any problem in movement during the session. The DC directed the Health Department to make special arrangements on the Vidhan Sabha premises, Zonal Hospital and Tanda Medical College in view of the Assembly session. The Fire Department has been instructed to deploy fire engines in Tapovan during the session. He instructed the Public Works Department officials to complete repair works on the Assembly premises.
The Dharamsala SDM, Municipal Corporation Commissioner, officials of the Public Works Department and Jal Shakti Department, Electricity and Fire Departments were also present.
