Dance, drama and culture mark annual function at Shimla’s HPU Model School
Students of HP University Model School showcased captivating performances during the 21st annual function celebrated at the university’s auditorium. The event included devotional songs, dances, skits, and cultural acts. Prof Shyam Lal Kaushal, Controller of Examinations at the HPU, served as the chief guest, with PC Jaswal, Finance Officer, as the distinguished guest.
Prof Kaushal congratulated the Principal, teachers, and students for the successful event, emphasizing the importance of holistic development for students. He encouraged participation in academics, sports, and cultural activities while sharing his own student-life memories to inspire parents to support their children. Outstanding students in academics and extracurricular activities were honored, and those yet to achieve recognition were motivated to strive harder.
Dr Umesh Modgil, Principal of HPU Model School, welcomed the guests and presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s achievements over the past year. Meanwhile, the annual prize distribution function at DAV Centenary Public School, Gajedi, Theog, featured vibrant performances by the students. Naresh Kumar Mahajan, Retired Principal of RKMV Shimla, presided as the chief guest.
