Hamirpur, July 31
The Congress leaders have condemned former Union Minister Anurag Thakur for his comments on Rahul Gandhi in different media releases here today.
The chief spokesperson of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, Prem Kaushal, said the BJP leaders, who were governing the country in an undemocratic manner, were frustrated as the Opposition had started pulling its strings.
He said this frustration had led to the use of disgusting and uncultured language by the BJP leaders. Kaushal said the BJP leaders, who were afraid of questions raised by Rahul Gandhi, had started questioning the caste of the Congress leader.
He said the Congress ideology only promotes love for everyone, while the BJP was busy in spreading hatred among the people. He said Rahul Gandhi would continue to storm the Parliament by speaking for the interest of the citizens.
Kaushal said the outburst of Anurag Thakur was due to his frustration after he was dropped from the Union Cabinet. He said Anurag Thakur was in “depression” and his statement was only to please his seniors in the BJP.
Deepak Sharma, the convener of All India Congress Kisan Cell, said the language of Anurag Thakur was unparliamentary and unacceptable. He said Rahul Gandhi had exposed “the nexus” of the Union Government, adding that the policies of the government were “to benefit the Ambani and Adani business houses”. — OC
