Clean-up drive at law university
Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor (officiating) Chanchal Kumar Singh, marked Swachh Bharat Diwas with a cleanliness drive on and around the university campus today.
This event marked the culmination of the Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign-2024, embracing the theme of “Swabhav Swachhata-Sanskaar Swachhata”.
The VC said the occasion served as a reminder of the university’s commitment to cleanliness and sanitation, aligning with the national mission initiated by the Government of India.
“HPNLU has been at the forefront of promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability since its inception, actively engaging students, faculty and the local community in various initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of cleanliness and responsibility,” he said.
“Since its establishment, HPNLU has undertaken numerous initiatives to enhance cleanliness on campus and in the surrounding areas,” added Singh.
“HPNLU promotes sustainable practices among the university community on waste management by using eco-friendly materials and practices across campus,” he said.
“As HPNLU commemorates Swachh Bharat Diwas, we reaffirm our dedication to creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. The university will continue to champion cleanliness initiatives and serve as a model for other educational institutions in the region,” the VC added.
