The Sangrah administration has appealed to the devotees not to visit Churdhar Temple, a famous religious and tourist place in Sirmaur district, in view of the extreme winter and snowfall.

The doors of historical Churdhar temple have been officially closed in view of the risk the route poses to the devotees.

SDM Sangrah Sunil Kayath said that due to snow and cold, all the walking routes leading to this temple are risky and dangerous. Keeping these factors in mind the Churdhar temple has been kept closed since December.

The temple will remain closed till April. He warned that the administration will take legal action as per rules against the person disobeying the orders and undertaking the risky journey.

Cases of devotees being caught in the snow and losing way come to fore every now and then.
