A delegation of Chhota Bhangal met Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in the Assembly complex today and demanded construction of a road to their village.

The delegation that included several women from the remotest area of Kangra district alleged that the road from Bir Billing to Rajgunda was a bad shape.

The villagers alleged that contract for the construction of road was given by the government about two years ago. However, the work for construction of the road was yet to be started.

The villagers alleged that thousands of villagers residing in the area have to face a lot of inconvenience in the absence of a pucca road. They alleged that in monsoon the situation becomes worse and people have to walk down about 15 kilometres to reach the nearest road head in certain cases.

The villagers maintained that a kucha road existed there which is used by shepherds going in Bara Bhangal valley with their herds of sheep.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur assured them that he would look into the demand.
