Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal recently conducted field visits to Dalhousie and Salooni tehsils to assess the impact of various agricultural schemes. During his tour, he interacted with progressive farmers and observed firsthand the benefits of government initiatives.

In Dalhousie, DC Repaswal met Tilak Raj, a farmer from Padar village. Tilak Raj highlighted the significant support he received from government schemes, including subsidies for solar fencing, drip irrigation, and a community irrigation tank. These interventions have enabled him to cultivate a diverse range of crops, including apples and vegetables, and achieve a sustainable and profitable farming model.

Similarly, in Salooni tehsil, DC Repaswal visited Shiv Kumar’’s farm in Gangiya village. Shiv Kumar shared his experience of constructing a water storage tank and installing a sprinkler irrigation system with government subsidies. These initiatives have helped him expand his vegetable cultivation and boost his income.
