Briefly: Car plunges into gorge, one dead

One person was killed and five others sustained injuries after a car they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge in the Rohru subdivision of Shimla district. The deceased has been identified as Puneet Shandil, a resident of Solan. As per the statement of Mukesh, another occupant of the vehicle, he and Puneet were on their way to Janglik village. They took lift in a Bolero camper that plunged into a gorge on October 29 at around 11 pm after the driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, Puneet was killed, while five others, including Mukesh, sustained minor injuries. Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the spot, rescuing the injured and recovering the body.
