In a breakthrough for the remote villages of the Pangi subdivision in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district, a successful bus service trial has been conducted to Bahaila village in the Saichu Nala Panchayat. This initiative, led by the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), was inaugurated by Pangi Resident Commissioner Raman Gharsangi. The new route extends from Sukwas village to Bahaila, covering a 3-km stretch that now enables Bahaila residents to travel by bus rather than on foot.

This bus service brings substantial relief to the residents of nearby villages Chask Bhatori and Murchh, who previously had to trek eight kilometers from Sukwas village. With the extension to Bahaila, the walking distance for these residents is now reduced to five kilometers, sparking joy and gratitude in the community.

Local villagers, including Daulat Ram Sharma, Suni Chand, Radha Lal, Jawahar Lal, and Bhagat Ram, have expressed their appreciation for the Pangi administration, PWD officials, and contractors involved in making this project a reality. Their efforts have renewed hope for further improvements in connectivity across these remote areas.
