BJP’s allegations of corruption baseless, say Congress leaders
The BJP’s leaders are frustrated after having witnessed the success of the government’s second anniversary, which is why they are making baseless allegations of corruption against the state government. This was stated by Prem Kaushal, chief spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, here today. He said the memorandum given by BJP leaders to the Governor was a bundle of lies, and it was merely a formality. He said the allegation of misuse of the exchequer in the event was wrong. The event was of the government, thus it had to be organised accordingly, he added.
He urged the BJP to remember the number of functions of the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ that they had organised that turned into ‘BJP functions’ with government funding.
Prem Kaushal said the BJP in the state was a divided house and there were over five groups. He accused these groups of fighting for supremacy in the party. He said the BJP had become a leaderless party, and five leaders, including Jai Ram Thakur, Rajive Bindal, Anurag Thakur, JP Nadda, and Satpal Satti, were striving for the top positions. On the other hand, he said, the Congress government and organisation were working in harmony to bring development and prosperity to the state.
