BJP membership drive in Himachal soon

The BJP has set a target of exceeding its existing membership of eight lakh in Himachal in the campaign to be launched shortly.
State Organisational Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma today said that the state-level workshop to train workers would be held at Sundernagar in Mandi district on August 22. “The BJP has a set a target of exceeding its membership of eight lakh. Rekha Verma, national BJP vice-president, who is also the in-charge of the membership drive for Himachal, will be present at the workshop in Sundernagar,” he added.
Sharma said that the state-level workshop would be followed by a similar exercise at the district level between August 24 and 26 and at the mandal level from August 28 to 30. “We have asked the district and mandal units to send us their membership targets so that we can surpass the previous membership count,” he added.
He claimed that the BJP was the largest political party in the world and would continue to be in power for the next at least 35 years.
