Pandoh road to remain shut till Nov 15 for repairs

The Deputy Commissioner and District Disaster Management Authority Chairperson, Apoorv Devgan, has announced that the Kiratpur-Manali national highway will be closed for vehicle traffic from Bindravani to Pandoh till November 15 for repair and maintenance work.

During this period, traffic will be restricted daily for one-and-a-half hour in the afternoon and two hours at night. Specifically, the restrictions will be in place between 11 am and 12.30 pm and from 12.30 am to 2.30 am.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the Project Director of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Mandi, had reported significant damage to the four-lane road along this stretch, posing a threat to the safety of travellers. Given these circumstances, urgent repair and maintenance of highway was necessary, he added.

Devgan said, “To ensure the safety of all road users, vehicular traffic will be restricted for repair work on the highway from Bindravani to Pandoh. Travellers are advised to use alternative routes during this period.”
