Bindal: BJP to observe Partition Horror Day

State BJP president Rajeev Bindal today released the schedule of upcoming party programmes in Himachal, including Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26 and Partition Horror Day on August 14.
He said that the BJP would observe Kargil Vijay Diwas in all 68 Assembly constituencies of the state and pay homage to brave soldiers and martyrs.
The programme would be conducted under the leadership of the BJP Yuva Morcha. From August 1 to 15, the BJP would run the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and had set a target to plant 50 saplings each at 7,990 polling booths.
Bindal said that the meeting of the extended State Working Committee of the BJP was held in Una in which 750 participants took part. “Party office-bearers from every district and division of the state participated in it and unanimously congratulated Narendra Modi on becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time. They expressed gratitude to the people of the state for giving all four Lok Sabha seats to the BJP,” he added.
He said that Partition Horror Day would be observed on August 14 and launch a public awareness campaign for freedom from drugs from August 15 to 30 and Social Harmony Day on Raksha Bandhan from August 17 to 19.
