Anurag Thakur: Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu misusing govt machinery to win byelection
Hamirpur, July 7
Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that anarchy, ego and injustice prevailed in the 18 months of ‘Sukhu Raj’ in the state. Thakur was addressing election meetings in favour of BJP candidate at various places in Hamirpur Assembly constituency, near here, today.
Anurag said instead of concentrating on public welfare, the Congress government in the state had turned into a ‘government of friends and family’. He said that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was misusing government machinery in an attempt to win byelections but people in all three constituencies had decided to vote for BJP candidates.
Anurag alleged that the Chief Minister had restored to writing off loans worth crores of rupees of friends while poor people were striving to get minimum support from the government. Government agencies were raiding premises of small businessmen in Assembly constituencies that were facing byelections in the state.
Ashish Sharma, BJP candidate, said that fearing defeat of Congress candidates in the byelections CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had restored to dictatorship.
