Anurag calls on Shanta Kumar

Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur called on BJP veteran and former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar at his residence here today. He was in the town in connection with some social engagements.

It has been learnt that both leaders discussed the organisational election of the BJP in the state due next year. Besides, the performance of the state government also figured in the talks.

Later, while talking to mediapersons, Anurag said that it was a courtesy call. As he was in Palampur, he called on Shanta Kumar, who was the first BJP Chief Minister of the state and formed government in 1990.

Shanta Kumar said that Anurag was a matured politician and he had done a lot to strengthen the BJP at the national level.
