Actor Anupam Kher enthralled the audience at a virtual event ‘Ideas that matter’ organised by Shoolini University, Solan. He said failure was a part of life and one should face it confidently and fearlessly. “Failure teaches you more than success,” he said. Thousands of teachers and students from north India attended the event, which was moderated by Shoolini University Pro VC Prof Atul Khosla and motivational speaker Vivek Atray. They emphasised the need to have a sense of wonder and to work hard. They urged everyone to spend time with family during the lockdown.

‘Pro e-Rehab’ session held at school

An online information session on ‘Pro e-Rehab’ was conducted at Army Public School by Ravi Sharma. The aim was to inculcate gender sensitivity among children. ‘Pro eRehab’ is an online healthcare platform catering to the rehabilitation needs of children facing developmental challenges. It was initiated by a team of six enthusiastic rehabilitation professionals. Sharma said parents, teachers and healthcare professionals should have a deep understanding of the topic. It was important for the younger generation to understand the meaning of gender equality, he said.

Ex-CJI interacts with Chitkara VC

Former Chief Justice of India, RC Lahoti, in conversation with Dr Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor of the Chitkara University, shared his views on Indian values and culture under the university’s ‘Explore series of talks’. He gave tips on leading a value-based life at both workplace and home. Sharing anecdotes from mythology and his own life, he said, “Values are different from ethics, and don’t mean simply being good. They mean being righteousness. They are the principles that help us make correct choices about what is good or bad, desirable or undesirable.”
