Shimla: Admn to honour people helping accident victims
Shimla, March 1
Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap held a meeting regarding the district road safety campaign here today.
He said the departments of Transport, Health and Police should discuss in detail road safety awareness, accident-prone areas, traffic control and installation of CCTV cameras. He also directed the officials to ensure timelymaintenance of the roads.
He stressed on organising road safety awareness camps at panchayat and block level in the district. Apart from this, he gave instructions to create awareness among the taxi and bus drivers in the district. Anupam Kashyap directed the Health Department officials to deploy ambulances at accident-prone areas for emergency cases. The DC added that the administration would honour those helped the accident victims. He also urged people to exhibit humanity.
