Accounting software is boon for businesses. It helps in the growth of industry. Every business house should adopt latest technologies to grow in the competitive market.

This was stated by Gagnesh Gupta, Assistant Commissioner of Excise and Taxation while addressing a gathering of accountants on the launch of advanced version of Tally accounting software here yesterday.

The Assistant Commissioner said accounting was made easy and fast in the age of information technology and helped both businessmen and the Department of Excise and Taxation in calculating tax and checking transactions. He said, “Accounts play a vital role in the growth of business. Entrepreneurs must adopt best software for their business.”

He also appreciated efforts of Gyan Corporation, the Tally dealer, for organising a workshop to apprise accountants about latest updates of business requirements and software as well.

Ajay Sharma, Chairman, Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC), who was present on the occasion, said he was surprised to know that business operations were made easy with the help of accounting software. Sharma said he would send a proposal to the government for adopting accounting software for the APMC to streamline its functioning.

He said latest update on accounts were available at the click of mouse. He said accounting software had become inevitable for both government and private sectors. Earlier, technical experts of Tally Solutions apprised accountants about software updates. Senior officials of the firm were also present on the occasion.
