70,000 students tested in basic English, Hindi, mathematics skills
Samagra Shiksha has completed the Basic Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) assessment of children of classes I and II. This assessment was done on October 7-8, in which about 70,000 children participated.
On the basis of the results of the test, required steps would be taken to improve basic literacy and numeracy among schoolchildren. For the test, an assessment tool was prepared by Samagra Shiksha, which included questions based on the goals of Nipun Bharat Mission.
Hindi, English and numeracy knowledge of schoolchildren was assessed in oral and written mediums.
Along with this, the physical, social and emotional development of children was assessed.
The data collected from the assessment will be made available online on the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) chatbot.
The results of the assessment survey will be shared with the parents concerned.
Nipun Bharat Mission has been implemented in several states, including Himachal Pradesh. Under the mission, steps are being taken to achieve the goals of basic literacy and numeracy (FLN) among children aged three-eight years.
