7-yr-old dies in cylinder blast in Solan
A seven-year-old girl was killed on Monday when the roof of a room where she was asleep collapsed, following an LPG cylinder blast in the kitchen above. The girl's father and uncle sustained injuries in the incident that took place in the Bhatoli Kalan area in Baddi and were rushed to the ESI hospital at Katha for treatment. A police team, led by Baddi Additional SP Ashok Verma, rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident. Verma confirmed that the mishap took place in the Bhatoli Kalan area of Baddi this morning around 5.30 am, and they were informed about it around 9.45 am. The blast occurred in the rented room of Pawan, a migrant, who resides at Bhatoli Kalan with his wife, two daughters, and brother. The mishap occurred when his wife left the kitchen after cooking and a blast ensued due to leaking gas. Pawan managed to save his four-year-old daughter Palak but could not save Chahat, who was sleeping in the room below when the roof caved in. Pawan and his brother Kamlesh sustained serious injuries in the blast.
