In a tragic incident, a five-year-old boy named Aman from Kuffar village in Sangrah lost his life after being attacked by a stray dog. The incident took place on October 16, when Aman sustained severe facial injuries from the attack in his village. His family quickly took him to Dr YS Parmar Medical College in Nahan, where doctors managed to stabilise his condition. By Saturday, Aman was reportedly recovering and even playing, giving his family hope for a full recovery.

However, his condition unexpectedly worsened later that day when he began experiencing breathing difficulties. Concerned, his family rushed him to the Sangrah hospital, from where he was referred back to Nahan Medical College for advanced treatment. Tragically, despite the medical team’s efforts, Aman passed away the following day.

The incident has deeply saddened his family and the entire village, highlighting concerns about the growing stray dog problem in the area. Following Aman’s death, local residents are calling for urgent action to address the stray dog menace, which has led to an increase in attacks, especially endangering children. Aman’s body was returned to his family after a post-mortem, and authorities await the report to determine if the cause of death was due to infection from the dog bite or another medical issue.
