Minister of Technical Education Rajesh Dharmani said over Rs 45 crore has been allocated for the construction and maintenance of roads in the Bharari sub-division and surrounding rural areas of the Ghumarwin Assembly constituency of Bilaspur district in Ghumarwin.

He said the fund was directed through NABARD under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and other schemes that aimed to improve road facilities in the area. The minister further said the state government had prioritised rural road expansion that would not only enhance traffic facilities in the area but also improve living standards. He said the improved connectivity would facilitate ease of movement, improve marketing and transportation of agricultural produce, boost social and economic activities, and benefit local business and industry.

Dharmani said the expansion of the road network would improve the access to education, health, and other essential services, uplifting the quality of life for rural residents. He said his dream was to make the constituency a prosperous and modern one, which would open new avenues of development for its residents.
