As many as 21 countries will participate in this year’s International Kullu Dasehra Festival with their Ambassadors and Heads of Mission attending the grand event.

An Ambassadors Meet to discuss the participation of various countries in the Dasehra Festival was organised in New Delhi last evening. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur chaired the meeting.

Thakur said that 21 countries would participate in this year’s Kullu Dasehra Festival. “The ambassadors and heads of mission from various countries will meet Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on October 18 in Kullu to hold talks on various points of interest,” he added.

He also briefed diplomats and the representatives of various embassies about the event’s preparedness, including logistics and travel support being extended to them for their participation.

He said artisans from these countries would set up stalls. Cultural troupes would present folk dances at the festival, thus promoting cultural exchange and fostering harmony goodwill and understanding, besides giving boost to trade and business.
