2 held for youth’s murder in Mandi

Police have arrested two individuals on Saturday in a murder case of 27-year-old youth in Mandi district.

According to the police, Vijay of Nalsar village in Balh tehsil was murdered on December 13. Mandi SP Sakshi Verma said the police have arrested two accused — Pankaj Mankotia (32) and Saurabh Saini (23) — in this case. “Both the accused are residents of Bhiyura village in Balh Tehsil. They were apprehended yesterday,” the SP said.

“According to initial investigations, the murder appears to be related to a dispute over a financial transaction between the accused and the victim. The investigation is ongoing and the police are working to uncover further details,” the SP asserted.
