Speaking on the INRF ranking, Prof Suryavanshi said unfortunately the INRF ranking of the institute had gone down due to various issues prevalent in the institute and those had been sorted out. He added that efforts were on to improve the INRF ranking in coming years.

He added that despite adverse situations the pass out and on campus placement of the NIT had reached 81 per cent, which was much better than those institutes who ranked better in INRF ranking. Dr Archana Nanoty, registrar, and deans of the NIT were also present on the occasion.
