Himachal Pradesh University invites online applications for vacant seats

Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, has invited online applications for admission in 22 courses for the session 2024-25. The applications have been invited till August 16 to fill the 248 vacant seats under the subsidised and non-subsidised categories.
As per the official notification issued by the university, one subsidised and 10 non-subsidised seats are vacant in the Masters of Arts (MA) in Education course, four non-subsidised seats in MA (Visual Arts), 14 non-subsidised seats in Master of Business Administration (Rural Development), 12 subsidised and 15 non-subsidised seats in Master of Fine Arts (Pahari Miniature Painting), nine subsidised and three non-subsidised seats in MA (Rural Development), 11 non-subsidised seats in MA (Defence & Strategic Studies), 15 non-subsidised and five in-service seats in MA (Population Studies), two subsidised seats under Person with Disabilities (PwD) category, 14 non-subsidised seats — 10 for Scheduled Caste (SC) category and two each for PwD and general categories — in Master of Computer Applications (MCA), 18 non-subsidised seats — 13 for General category, three for SC and one each for PwD and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories — in Master of Science (Data Science & Artificial Intelligence), 22 non-subsidised seats in Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), 20 subsidised and 10 News list (August 10) seats in the Five-Year Integrated Course in Tourism and Travel Management, 10 non-subsidised seats in Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), five subsidised seats in MA (Social Work), three non-subsidised in MSc (Microbiology), 10 non-subsidised seats in MA (Archaeology and Ancient History), two subsidised and three non-subsidised in MSc (Environmental Studies) and one non-subsidised seat in MA (Journalism and Mass Communication).
Apart from this, three subsidised and five non-subsidised seats would be filled in the PG diploma (Population Studies) programme, eight non-subsidised seats in Bachelor of Library and Information Science, and six non-subsidised seats in PG diploma in DMM.
Dean (Studies) BK Shivram said applicants would be admitted to the courses on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
Students admitted to the vacant seats would not be entitled to hostel facilities, he added.
