Gokul Butail, Principal Adviser to the Chief Minister on IT Innovation, Digital Technology, and Governance, announced that the Himachal Pradesh Government has increased its e-services to 275 and aims to expand the number to 300 in the near future.

Speaking at a press conference, Butail emphasised the state’s commitment to making government services accessible at home through digital platforms. He highlighted that over 20 lakh transactions are conducted annually, reflecting the public’s growing reliance on e-services.

Butail credited the state’s leadership in digital innovation, noting that the e-Vidhan initiative, introduced during Virbhadra Singh’s tenure, has now gained national recognition. He expressed confidence that in the next two years, Himachal Pradesh would surpass South Indian states in terms of IT advancements.

The state is also focused on creating employment opportunities for local youth through the development of two IT parks in Kangra and Shimla. These parks aim to prevent brain drain by offering job prospects within the state. Butail emphasized the government’s priority to provide employment to the state’s educated and skilled youth.

Additionally, a digital helpline has been launched to assist government officials in resolving issues related to service delivery more efficiently. The helpline, integrated with the Chief Minister Seva Sankalp, allows officials to contact for support regarding e-services through the numbers 0177-3525101/02. Each query will generate a ticket number via SMS for tracking.
