Despite concerted efforts by the administrations of Gurugram and Faridabad, voter turnout in high-rise societies remained dismal, with only an average of 45% participation. Special high-rise polling booths were set up in society clubhouses, making voting as easy as taking a lift. However, a majority of residents still did not cast their ballots.

In Gurugram, 126 high-rise booths were erected, and in Faridabad, 57. According to an analysis by election authorities, the core Gurugram city, which had 42 high-rise booths, recorded a mere 37% polling. The Badshahpur segment, Haryana’s largest constituency with 71 high-rise booths, saw only 48.72% turnout. Meanwhile, Pataudi, with just nine booths, recorded 53.63% polling, and Sohna, with four booths, saw 44%. In Faridabad, the 57 high-rise booths barely reached a 50% turnout.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram, Nishant Yadav, expressed disappointment with the low voter turnout, despite the efforts of many RWAs.
