SDO Jaswinder Singh Virk said heavy rain suddenly hit Abohar sub-division area yesterday. Due to overflowing of canals, there have been breaches. He said some farmers closed the outlets of the canals near their fields in rainy season, leading to breaches, now the department will take appropriate action against them.
