Headless body found near Punjab CM’s farmhouse, 2 arrested

Two suspects have been arrested in a gruesome murder of a Nagal resident, whose headless body was found partially buried in Siswan close to the Punjab Chief Minister’s farmhouse this morning. The police said the deceased had been identified as Nagal resident Sucha Singh (40), who was missing from his house in the village since June 12.
The suspects have been identified as Parole residents Jagir Singh, alias Ghola, Satnam Singh Satti and Des Raj. The sword used in the murder had been recovered, said the police.
The deceased and the suspects were known to each other and were taking liquor when arguments began over some financial matter between Sucha Singh and prime suspect Jagir Singh, alias Ghola. Later, the suspects beheaded the victim and buried his body. The police are yet to recover the severed head of the deceased.
The deceased has two daughters and a son, who identified the body and found slippers near the spot. The deceased was a herder, who used to graze sheep and goats in a nearby forest.
Eyewitnesses said the police had been searching for the person for the past few days. Today, they took the help of the deceased’s pet dog in their search operation and found the headless body buried in earth near the boundary wall of the high security farmhouse.
