“Unemployment is an issue not only in Haryana but across the country and the new government should focus on resolving the issues instead of just playing the blame game and creating narratives. We need serious politicians who want to work for the betterment of the society and also put a break on excessive freebies as it leaves the state under heavy debts”, said Ribhu Aabha, a first-time voter in Ambala City.

Yashdeep, a young voter, said, “During campaigning, candidates and parties make tall promises, regarding jobs and inflation and I just hope that they also fulfill their promises.”

Meanwhile, Bhajan Singh (86) from Jandli area of Ambala City, said “I have never missed the opportunity of casting my vote. The politicians these days are only concerned about votes and only favour those who vote for them instead of working for the society. The government should implement schemes in a smooth manner and ensure that the old aged people are not harassed.”

Similarly, Rameshwar (71), said, “Everyone should exercise their right to elect a good representative to get the long-pending issues of the area resolved.”
