A two-day district-level ‘Yuva Utsav’ programme was organised by the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Yamunanagar, in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra in Yamunanagar.

The event, hosted at DAV Girls College, Yamunanagar, and ITI, Yamunanagar, showcased the vibrant cultural and intellectual talent of the district’s youth.

City Magistrate Piyush Gupta and political leader Sanjay Rana inaugurated the first day of the fest. Gupta emphasised the importance of such platforms in empowering youth and fostering creativity.

He said, “The Yuva Utsav reflects the rich culture and intellectual prowess of our young generation. It is essential to encourage such initiatives to align youth with the vision of nation-building.”

Rana highlighted the government’s vision to nurture young talent, stating that under the guidance of the Prime Minister’s ‘Panch Pran’ initiative, this event was a step towards realising the dreams of a progressive and self-reliant India.

On the second day, the celebrations reached their pinnacle while Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora also attended the event. During the closing ceremony, the legislator encouraged all participants and presented awards to the winners.

Arora expressed appreciation for the youth’s talent, saying, “It is heartening to witness the enthusiasm and creativity of our young generation. They are the pillars of our future, and platforms like ‘Yuva Utsav’ play a vital role in nurturing their potential.”

Dipesh Mahendru, Principal of ITI, Yamunanagar, expressed his gratitude to the Department of Youth Affairs and Nehru Yuva Kendra for their support, emphasising the importance of such events in fostering holistic development of the youth.

District Youth Officer Omkar Swami appreciated the seamless organisation and participation, stating, “The energy and talent displayed by the participants are a testament to the potential of our youth. It is our responsibility to provide them with platforms like these to nurture their skills.”
