Woman among 3 held in separate murder cases in Faridabad district
The police have arrested three persons, including a woman, in connection with the different murder incidents that took place in the city recently.
A police spokesperson said a woman, identified as Rekha, had been arrested for killing her husband, Vijay, on Sunday night. As per a complaint, the victim was smothered to death while he was sleeping by his wife and one another accused, identified as Abdullah, who resides in the same locality. Vijay had objected to the friendship and illicit relation between his wife and Abdullah.
Abdullah had allegedly come to meet Rekha around 1 am on December 1 night when he smothered Vijay to death with a pillow. The accused told the police that he had decided to kill Vijay as the latter had thrashed Rekha.
In another incident, the police have arrested a 30-year-old man for killing a person in the IMT area of the city on November 30. It is alleged that the accused, identified as Sonu, who works with an autorickshaw driver, had assaulted Satpal, who had bargained over the fare with the driver to go to Ballabhgarh on the night of November 30. Sonu attacked Satpal with a broken beer bottle after a verbal spat over the fare between the victim and the driver, who is Sonu’s friend.
